#000080;\">Article 272 of the Executive Regulations of the University Regulation Law specifies the following:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Freshmen from the Arab Republic of Egypt whose rank in the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination is no higher than thirty-first in the science section, tenth in the arts section, and fifth in the examination for all technical secondary education certificates will receive an annual bonus of one hundred and twenty pounds each.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Freshmen from the Arab Republic of Egypt who score at least 80% on the overall assessment of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination or the Technical Secondary Education Certificate Examination, excluding those mentioned previously, will receive an 84-pound reward.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-The bonus described in the previous two paragraphs will continue to be awarded to students who get it in the aforementioned categories if they achieve a high overall grade on the transfer exam.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Anyone who achieves an exceptional overall grade on the transfer exam receives an annual bonus of one hundred and twenty pounds, and anyone who achieves a very good overall grade other than those mentioned in the first three paragraphs of this article receives an annual bonus of sixty pounds. The Supreme Council of Universities shall establish the rules for applying this system to students who are accepted in years following the preparatory and first years in colleges that do not have preparatory years, and the granting of the bonus shall be limited to the year following the year in which the student obtains the aforementioned grade, and the bonus shall be renewed whenever the previous conditions are met.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-For colleges that do not perform annual transfer examinations, the aforementioned incentive will be awarded during the academic period after the transfer exams.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-The bonus described in this article shall be paid in monthly installments over the academic year, and if the student dies after it is due, it shall be paid in one payment to his heirs. (The Supreme Council of Universities determined at its session on December 4, 1997, that universities will pay it in one payment at the end of each academic year.)<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-The Supreme Council of Universities may, on the recommendation of the university councils, decide on incentives to encourage studies in specific disciplines.
