the semester work specified in the course schedule. Students who do not take the written exam after the semester are regarded as One of the courses is absent without an excuse in this course, and he becomes a failure unless he present an acceptable justification, in which case he is regarded absent with a valid excuse.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A student\u2019s grade in courses that include written, oral, and\/or practical examinations is the sum of the marks obtained in these examinations, in addition to the semester work specified in the course syllabus. Any student who fails to sit for the final written examination at the end of the semester shall be considered absent without excuse in that course and shall be deemed to have failed, unless an acceptable justification is presented. In such cases, the student is regarded as absent with an approved excuse.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A student\u2019s success in any course is evaluated on the basis of the grades obtained in the mid-semester written examination, the oral and\/or practical examinations (depending on the nature of the course), the semester work, and the final written examination.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The final written examination shall not account for more than 50% of the overall course grade.
