A delegation from the Faculty of Energy Engineering, headed by Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, and comprising Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Bakry, Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Awais, Dr. Hussein Noubi, and Dr. Mostafa Mahmoud, participated in the Scientific Day of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – South Valley Branch, Aswan, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
The delegation took part in the event upon an invitation from Prof. Sherif Ezz El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the Academy’s South Valley Branch in Aswan, and Prof. Mohamed Taha, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The event was attended by a large number of leaders and representatives from the industrial sector and engineering education community in Aswan.
In his speech, Prof. Tarek Hassan emphasized that the Scientific Day in Mechanical Engineering aims to bridge the gap between academia and the labor market, highlight students’ projects, and raise awareness of the latest technological advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence. He noted that the event featured a variety of activities, including lectures, workshops, and student project presentations.
His Excellency also expressed his appreciation for the rich and diverse activities of the Scientific Day, which included honoring distinguished guests, as well as presentations of a number of research projects by outstanding students of the department in the fields of mechanical engineering, energy, and robotics. The attendees highly praised the exceptional standard and quality demonstrated by the students’ projects.
