African University Youth Week

Aswan University continues its strong preparations to organize the first African Universities Youth Week, which will be held with the participation of (21) African countries and more than 20 Egyptian universities during the period from 19 to 25 October, in the framework of the announcement of President / Abdel Fattah El Sisi, that Aswan is the capital of African youth this year .

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghallab- President of Aswan University, stated that the African Universities Youth Week aims at strengthening and strengthening partnership and cooperation between African and Egyptian universities, encouraging cultural dialogue among students of the African continent, and establishing unified and strong information for youth leaders in Africa, in addition to exchanging cultures among youth. .
He added that this week will include many activities (sports – art – cultural – scientific – technological) to achieve integration between institutions of higher education in Africa and the exchange of experiences and spread of coexistence.

Prof. Ayman Osman- Vice-President of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research, added that a number of specialized committees have been formed for the success of all events and activities that will be witnessed by the African Youth Week, for example, ceremonies, reception, opening, presentations, media and scientific activities committees. And technological, cultural, social, artistic, sports and awards.

For his part, Prof. Abdulrahman Abdulbaset, Vice-Chairman of the High Committee and General Coordinator of the week, added that the African countries are (Tanzania – Togo – Zambia – Sierra Leone – Cote d’Ivoire – Mali – Malawi – Liberia – Nigeria – Central Africa – Sudan – Somalia – Senegal – Cameroon – Gabon – Niger – Uganda – Chad – Benin – Angola – Mozambique) Each African delegation includes between 10 and 15 students.
He pointed out that the Egyptian universities participating in the week so far are: (Al-Azhar – Alexandria – Ain Shams – Assiut – Tanta – Helwan – Monofeya – Suez Canal – South Valley – Kafr El-Sheikh – Sohag – and Port Said – Damanhour – Suez – Arish – New Valley – Renaissance – Sinai – Derayah – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport).
