Under the auspices of Prof. Louai Nasrat, President of Aswan University; Prof. Ashraf Emam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering; and Prof. Ahmed Thabet, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs — and in the presence of a distinguished group of academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, teaching assistants, and students — the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University organized a cultural seminar entitled “Nanotechnology Applications in Water Treatment: A Sustainable Approach.”
The seminar, held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, was led by Dr. Hussein Nubi Badri, Assistant Professor of Materials Engineering and Mechanical Design at the faculty.
The session began with an introduction to nanotechnology, sustainability, and water science, followed by a discussion of traditional methods of water treatment, and then focused on the use of nanotechnology in water treatment and achieving sustainability in these fields.
The event concluded with a series of questions, discussions, and active participation from attendees, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to its social role, environmental engagement, and dedication to spreading knowledge and scientific awareness.
