Discussing graduation projects for undergraduate students at the Faculty of Energy Engineering

Today, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Aswan University, the graduation projects for undergraduate students in the Electricity Networks and Stations Division were discussed, in the attendance of Prof. Adel Zein El-Din – Dean of the Faculty, the deputies, heads of departments and faculty members of the faculty, as well as some guests from the various industrial sectors in the governorate.

The students presented the completed projects, most of which were aimed at optimizing energy use as well as using new and renewable energies. Among these projects were projects funded by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), Ministry of Scientific Research, Egypt

The project titles of the Electrical Engineering Department were:

♦ Design of an intelligent solar-powered irrigation system with a wireless controller.

♦ Design a hybrid power system of photovoltaic cells and diesel generators to feed an isolated load.

♦ The house works without the electricity network.

The projects titles of the Mechanical Engineering Department were also discussed, and their titles were as follows:

♦ Solar heater design using vertical cylindrical pieces.

♦ Analysis of the power plant in the solar tower and simulation of its performance.

♦ Experimental study of the parabola for using solar energy.

♦ Innovative design of a free-standing indoor solar fireplace that works under the climatic conditions of Aswan city.

The attendees from academic staff and guests praised the topics that were studied in these projects and their role in providing and optimizing the use of energy in a way that supports the state’s plans in the energy fields.
