On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University hosted an educational seminar on reducing the environmental impact of industry through clean technology and sustainable production. The event was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Loay Saad El-Din Nosrat, President of Aswan University; Professor Dr. Ashraf Emam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Professor Dr. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering; and Professor Dr. Ahmed Thabet, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The seminar was attended by faculty members, administrative leaders, teaching assistants, and students, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
The seminar opened with a lecture by Dr. Abdel-Akher El-Sayed El-Bahnassawy, Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department. His presentation addressed the environmental impacts of traditional industries, introduced the concepts of the circular economy, and explored strategies for resource reuse and the deployment of highly efficient energy systems to reduce harmful emissions. Dr. El-Bahnassawy also highlighted the Egyptian government’s efforts to expand clean energy projects, including wind and solar power plants. The lecture was followed by an engaging session of questions, discussions, and active participation from attendees.
