Prof.Ahmed Ghallab Mohammed –Aswan University President announced the participation of delegations from 19 African countries in the activities of the African Universities Week of African Universities that will be held during the period from 19-25 October and the within the frame of the announcement of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi –Egyptian Republic President that Aswan is the Capital of African Youth for 2019.
He pointed out that the countries participating in this week are (Nigeria – Chad – Somalia – Mali – Central Africa – Benin – Malawi – Senegal – Tanzania – Niger – Uganda – Sierra Leone – the Gambia – Gabon – Cameroon – Togo – Liberia – Sudan – Cote d’Ivoire).
He also Pointed out the week of African Universities will include the participation of students from 20 Egyptian Universities, where the completion of establishing five stadiums and tennis in the headquarter of the university in Sahara as preparation for this week, and the establishment of a stadium for a football stadium with a capacity of (1000) spectators in addition to the establishment of a beach ball and rehabilitation of the covered and open theater to host the artistic events and also beautify , decorate and paint the university buildings to look at its best in front of the participants this week.
He added Prof. Abdulrahman Abdel Basset, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of the African Universities for the week of African Universities in Aswan University all student of the Faculty of Physical Education is training daily since the past July on the special athletic shows to be held in the opening ceremony which is decided to be in Aswan Sports Stadium with the participation of (2000) students..
He pointed out that each delegation from African and Egyptian universities participating in the week will include (10) students and participate in many events and activities of art, cultural and sports.
