The event is held under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University; Prof. Ashraf Imam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering; and Prof. Ahmed Thabet, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. This Environmental Day aims to raise awareness of key environmental issues, promote nature conservation, combat pollution, and support ecosystem restoration. This will take place on April 7, 2026, under the title:
“Together for a Sustainable Environment and Clean Energy”
The program will feature a variety of activities, including:
-A community service initiative and tree-planting campaign.
-Environmental competitions in several categories, including: Best Idea for Environmental Conservation, Recycling, Environmental Awareness, and Environmental Photography.
-Recreational activities, including light sports and team-building games.
An awareness seminar entitled: “Environmental Sustainability and the Role of Energy Engineers in Environmental Protection.”
A student exhibition showcasing projects on clean energy, solar energy models, recycling innovations, and environmental awareness materials.
