The Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University has officially announced the launch of its Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering (RSEE) Program, which will commence at the beginning of the 2025/2026 academic year.
In his statement, Prof. Tarek Hassan, Dean of the Faculty, emphasized that the program falls under the disciplines of Control Engineering and Electrical Engineering, and will be delivered under the credit-hour system. The RSEE program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental concepts in the renewable energy sector, enabling them to apply acquired knowledge in professional settings and independently engage with emerging challenges.
The program equips graduates with essential skills to design, implement, and operate renewable energy systems, including solar power, wind energy, and other sustainable sources. This is achieved through a combination of theoretical coursework, hands-on training in specialized laboratories, and field visits to real-world projects.
Moreover, students enrolled in the RSEE program will undergo field training during their years of study, in collaboration with companies operating in the renewable energy sector.
This practical exposure aims to prepare graduates for a seamless transition into the labor market and empowers them to contribute professionally to the growing field of renewable energy.
