Dean of the Faculty Meets with the University Career Development Center Team at Aswan University

In a productive meeting, Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University, received Ms. Laila Ramadan, Director of the University Career Development Center, and Dr. Shaimaa Kamal, Employment and Business Relations Officer at the Center, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Shaaban, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department; Prof. Walid Anis, Professor Emeritus in the Mechanical Engineering Department; Dr. Ibrahim Mokhtar, Lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Department; and Dr. Hussein Noubi, Director of the Faculty’s IT Unit.

Discussions focused on ways to maximize the benefit of the Center’s activities for the Faculty’s students and graduates, with the aim of enhancing their readiness for the labor market and bridging the gap between academic studies and labor market requirements.

It is worth noting that the University Career Development Center offers a wide range of training programs designed to prepare students and graduates for employment. These include the “Be Prepared” training initiative launched by the Ministry of Higher Education as part of the Presidential Initiative, in addition to programs aimed at developing employability and entrepreneurship skills. The Center also provides various career development workshops, such as CV Writing, Interview Skills, Job Search, and Career Planning.

Prof. Tarek Hassan emphasized the importance of effective cooperation with the Center, highlighting its role in facilitating practical training opportunities for students and graduates in private-sector companies and factories. This is achieved through cooperation agreements with private-sector institutions across the governorate. Furthermore, the Center organizes roundtable discussions with local business leaders and labor market stakeholders to identify employment needs. Based on these insights, the Center works to prepare university students and graduates to meet the actual demands of the labor market. All services provided by the Center are offered free of charge.
