Aswan University has organized a series of field trips and military visits for its students as part of fruitful cooperation among the Egyptian Armed Forces, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command. These visits aim to raise national awareness, foster a sense of loyalty and belonging, and familiarize students with Egypt’s historical legacy and the state’s achievements in industrial development and nation-building.
The program included visits to several prominent industrial and military sites, as follows:
1. Industrial Development and Economic Support
Students visited El Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals and the Silo Foods industrial complex, where they learned about the production capabilities of Egypt’s industrial sector and the vital role these institutions play in strengthening the national economy and enhancing food security through the use of advanced technologies.
2. Military History and National Heritage
The program also included visits to the Military Museum at the Citadel of Saladin and the October War Panorama. These visits gave students an opportunity to learn about the heroism and sacrifices of the Egyptian Armed Forces during the October War of 1973 and gain a deeper appreciation of Egypt’s rich military history.
The university administration emphasized that organizing these visits reflects its commitment to raising students’ awareness, strengthening their sense of national identity and belonging, and familiarizing them with Egypt’s military heritage and industrial achievements. Such initiatives contribute to preparing an informed and responsible generation capable of contributing to the nation’s development and helping shape its future.
