Aswan University Starts Mawda Project

According to President Sisi‘s instructions to launch Mawada Project Initiative to keep the Egyptian family, today corresponding to 4th Sep. 2021 Aswan university acting president Prof. Ayman Othman witnessed the initiative’s events in cooperation with the ministry of social solidarity headed by minister Neveen Al Kabbah and the project’s director Dr. Randa Fares. The event was attended by the previous vice university president Dr. Magdi Mohammed Ali, Dr. Mohammed Fawzy Waly, Mawada project training advisor, Mr. Mamdouh Al Msary, the project’s executive coordinator, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abbas, project’s executive coordinator, the university’s social solidarity unit’s members as well as a number of faculty members.

  In his speech, during the conference, Prof. Ayman Othman said that Mawada Project is a national Initiative issued by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi during the 6th Youth Conference 2018 which aims at limiting the divorce ratio in Egypt through preparing future spouses and newlyweds to keep the Egyptian family’s entity. In the same context, today started the training events for the university’s academic staff and will continue till Sunday 5th Sep. 2021. Prof. Ayman Othman suggested developing a course targeting students on raising cultural and family awareness among youth.

  For his part, the previous vice president of community service and environmental development Prof. Magdi Mohammed Ali added that Mawda project aims at enhancing families’ entity through disseminating awareness via psychologists and specialists and activating family care institutions’ role.   

  Aswan University’s Mawda project’s coordinator Dr. Hamada Ragb pointed at the effort exerted by the state’s sectors to promote citizens’ quality of life.

  The ministry of social solidarity’s executive coordinator of Mawada Project Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abbas extended sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman for his wise leadership of Aswan university and for the warm reception as well as cooperation in implementing the state’s political vision regarding implementing the national project to keep the Egyptian family’s entity and limiting divorce ratio (Mawda Project).
