Today, Aswan University receives the Committee of the Dentistry Sector at the Supreme Council of Universities headed by Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President- in the presence of Dr. Ayman Othman, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Magdy Mohamed Ali, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Wael Mohamed Mubarak, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Aswan University, Dr. Atef Ibrahim, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Muhammad Raslan, Vice President of the Faculty.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed- President of Aswan University stated that the sector’s committee includes:
Prof. Dr. Khaled Mohamed Abul-Fadl, Chairman of the Sector Committee, and the membership of Prof. Dr. Abadi Adel El-Kady, former Dean of the College of Dentistry, Suez University, Prof. Tariq Salah El-Din Hassan-former Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry- Ain Shams University; the committee has visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Science-Aswan University in the campus at Sahari.
Prof.Ahmed Ghallab added the headquarter of the Faculty of Dentistry at New Aswan City and includes 12 departments are divided into academic and clinical; the duration of studying of the faculty 5 years plus an internship year; the aim of the committee’s visite is ensuring ( constructive-human-technical-material) possibilities of the Faculty of Dentistry as preparation for the beginning of studying in the Faculty of Dentistry in Aswan University.
Dr.Khaled Mohamed Abu Al Fadal- Head of the Committee’s Sector explained it’s time now to be a Faculty of Dentistry and Human Medicine at Aswan University that is considered the Southern gate of Egypt, as well as the faculty, will include a several of departments.
