On Sunday, November 30, 2025, the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University organized an educational seminar addressing various aspects of safety standards in scientific laboratories. The seminar was held under the auspices of Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nusrat, President of Aswan University; Prof. Ashraf Emam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof.Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering; and Prof. Ahmed Thabet, Vice- Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
A distinguished group of academic staff, administrative leaders, teaching assistants, and students attended. This event underscored the Faculty’s commitment to raising awareness about various hazards within laboratories and methods of prevention to protect the lives of personnel and laboratory equipment, as well as to promote the dissemination of science and knowledge.
Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his happiness and welcome to Prof. Ibrahim Bayoumi, Head of the Botany Department at the Faculty of Science, Aswan University, to deliver the seminar within the halls of the faculty.
The seminar began with an introduction about the different types of hazards within laboratories, and an explanation of the different ways to avoid different hazards and first aid tools within laboratories. The seminar was distinguished by its focus on raising awareness of safety matters within laboratories, with a distinguished attendance from the administrative staff of the faculty.
