As part of the State’s efforts to advance the scientific research ecosystem, and in support of its strategic vision to showcase Egypt’s intellectual and research output, recognize the contributions of scientists and researchers, and provide accurate data on their achievements, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT) has announced the launch of the Egyptian Knowledge Graph (EKG) platform, now available to faculty members and researchers at Aswan University.
The Egyptian Knowledge Graph is a comprehensive national platform for scientific research data, designed to provide an integrated and comprehensive view of Egypt’s scientific research ecosystem. The platform brings together research data and outputs from the National Scientific Publishing Platform and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB), in addition to research data indexed in the global Scopus database.
A key feature of the platform is its ability to display, analyze, and highlight research published in Arabic alongside research published in English on an equal basis. This includes scientific journals and articles published locally or indexed internationally. The platform analyzes citation data for research outputs published through the national publishing platform and links them to citation data and research metrics indexed in Scopus.
The platform also enables faculty members to submit feedback and requests to amend their listed research data, following procedures similar to those adopted by international research indexing platforms such as Scopus. A specialized team will review these submissions and make the necessary amendments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the data.
For convenient access, faculty members and researchers can use their existing Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) account credentials without the need to create a new account. Simply visit https://ekg.eg.net and select “Access via EKB SSO”, then log in using the same username and password associated with their EKB account.
