The Dean of the Faculty Inspects First Semester Exams for the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program

Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, conducted an inspection of the first-semester examinations for the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program for the academic year 2025/2026. He was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Roshdy, Director of the Program. The inspection aimed to ensure a safe and stable examination environment that guarantees equal opportunities for all students.

During the tour, the Dean stressed the importance of strict adherence to examination regulations and the necessity of taking immediate action to address any obstacles faced by students or academic staff, in order to achieve the highest levels of discipline and transparency.
Prof. Tarek Hassan Mohamed affirmed that the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program serves as an interdisciplinary link among several engineering fields involved in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of renewable energy systems. These fields include electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, control engineering, environmental engineering, materials engineering, in addition to other related engineering sciences.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mohamed Roshdy, Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, highlighted the importance of continuous monitoring of examinations and maintaining direct communication with students to listen to their feedback. He emphasized that both the Faculty and the Program spare no effort in supporting the educational and examination processes in accordance with quality assurance and accreditation standards.

Dr. Roshdy also noted that the program plays a vital role in understanding the various methods and systems used to generate energy from sustainable sources, as well as the distribution and utilization of this energy in different environments. The application of these systems involves the integration of human resources, materials, information, and sustainable energy sources.

Within the program, students study the methods used to design renewable energy stations and conduct the necessary analyses to assess their efficiency, performance indicators, and economic feasibility. They also compare these stations with conventional power generation plants in terms of initial costs, environmental impact, and sustainability.
