Under the auspice of Prof. Loai Sa’ad Al-Din Nasrat-Aswan University President, Prof. Tarek Hassan-Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Prof. Ahmed Thabet-Vice-Dean for Education and Student Affairs; believing in its pioneering role in serving the community and promoting scientific and technical awareness, the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University is launching a series of cultural seminars and workshops for students of scientific and engineering faculties, academic staff and assistants, engineers, researchers in the fields of energy, environment, and water, as well as all those interested in modern technologies and sustainable solutions.

1- Different types of energy (traditional and renewable).
2-Modern technologies and their engineering applications.
3-Sustainability and the transition to a green economy.
These activities are organized as part of the programs of the Technology Innovation and Public Service Center (TIPS) at the Faculty of Energy Engineering. They aim to enhance efficiency, develop the skills of students and teaching assistants across university faculties, and promote scientific culture among specialists and enthusiasts within Aswan Governorate.
The first seminar will be held in the Faculty of Energy Engineering’s seminar hall on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 11:30 a.m., under the title:
“Nanotechnology Applications for Wastewater Treatment: A Sustainable Approach.”
The session will be delivered by Dr. Hussein Noubi, Assistant Professor of Materials Engineering and Mechanical Design at the Faculty. It aims to introduce participants to the modern concepts of nanotechnology and highlight its innovative applications in water treatment and purification, focusing on sustainable solutions that protect the environment and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
