Prof.Ahmed Ghallab –Aswan University President praised his admiration with Chines Chinese –Egyptian laboratory for new and renewable energy that is opened today in the headquarter of South Upper Egypt Development Center of Scientific Research Academy in the island of Qaraman in Sohag, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar And Scientific Research, and Major General Dr. Mohamed Said Al-Assar, Minister of State for Military Production, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Sohag .
Ghallab confirmed this laboratory is considered new and strong addition in the field of new and renewable researches in South Upper Egypt , and we look forward to joint cooperation between Aswan University and this new laboratory during the next period .
He explained Aswan University includes Faculty of Energy Engineering which is considered a pioneer and unique faculty in the energy fields in Egypt, and offers the best opportunities for education, scientific research and technical consultancy to serve the community and the environment at a level comparable to international quality standards. A solar plant will produce 2,000 megawatts (90%) of the energy produced from the High Dam.
