Participation in the Arab Creativity Forum held in Aswan on December 28, 2023.
Prof. Dr. Tarek Hassan Mohamed and Eng. Ahmed Saleh from the Faculty of Energy Engineering participated in the Arab Creativity Forum with their project, “The Solar Cooker.”
Community Activities
Under the patronage of Prof. Louay Saad El-Din Nasr, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Imam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tarek Hassan, Acting Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ahmed Owais, representing the Faculty of Energy Engineering at Aswan University, participated in the activities of the ISEF 2024 Competition for Aswan School Students, held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport on Tuesday, December 3.
Training Courses
A delegation of faculty members and their assistants from the Faculty participated in a training course on electric power generation networks at the Hydraulic Training Center affiliated with the Aswan Power Station in February 2024.

– Adoption of a Cooperation Protocol with the Hydropower Plants Company.

University Education and Industry Forum
Under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Ashraf Imam, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and under the supervision of Prof. Tarek Hassan, Acting Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Energy Engineering organized the “University Education and Industry in Southern Upper Egypt” Forum on April 9, 2025, at the Misr Public Library.
The forum brought together academics and industry leaders to discuss mechanisms for bridging the gap between scientific research and the needs of the labor market and industry.
The President of Aswan University emphasized that the forum reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing its role in community service and supporting sustainable development in Southern Upper Egypt.
The forum’s key recommendations included establishing Research and Development (R&D) Units within factories and companies to collaborate with the university in addressing technical challenges and enhancing industrial performance through cooperation protocols that ensure effective coordination between the two parties.
The forum also recommended establishing a coalition linking factories and industrial zones in the region with the university, with the aim of addressing technical challenges and developing products based on scientific research.

– Overseeing summer training programs for students.
Fifth: Visits and Agreements
– A delegation of faculty members and their teaching assistants participated in a training program.
– Conducting field visits to electricity and energy companies to identify and assess environmental and operational challenges.
– Collaborating with industrial organizations and companies on environmental projects to secure funding for green energy initiatives.
